Surgical Lasers
We have two surgical lasers - a CO2 laser and a diode laser.
CO2 Laser
Our CO2 laser is a Cutting Edge CL030 30 watt surgical laser (10,600nm wavelength, 5-100Hz frequency, 100-400ms pulse width). More information can be found regrading this product at http://vet.celasers.com/surgical-small/30-watt-co2 . The laser has many useful applications, but is especially useful for:
Diode Laser
Our diode laser is a DiodeVET-15 (B&WTEK Inc. BWF-5), using a 980nm wavelength, features continuous wave (CW) and controlled pulse (5, 10, and 15Hz) modes, and produces a maximum power output of 15 watts. More information about this product is available at http://www.diodevet.com/diodevet.php (N.B. our model is the 15 watt model - the website now only features data on the 25 and 50 watt models, but all of the specifications are the same other than the maximum power output). The applications are almost limitless, but we use it mostly for remote surgery down the biopsy channel of our endoscopes, for example in equine airway surgery.
